Local SEO Services

Local search in India is where most real-world buying decisions start: a clinic near the metro station, a car showroom in the next locality, a coaching centre a parent can reach after work. I build local SEO systems for single-location and multi-location businesses that cover Google Business Profile, location pages, reviews and the Hindi and regional-language queries most agencies ignore.

Local SEO is often sold as "we will optimise your Google listing". That is one part of a larger system. A person searching "dentist near me" on a phone in Lajpat Nagar sees a map pack driven by proximity, relevance and prominence; a person searching "best CBSE coaching in Noida sector 62" sees a mix of map results, directories and individual websites; a person typing "डेंटिस्ट नियर मी" sees something different again. Winning across those surfaces means getting the profile, the website, the reviews, the citations and the content to agree with each other. That is what I build.

What local SEO covers

Local SEO is the work of making a business visible for searches with local intent: queries that include a place, queries made from a place, and "near me" queries where the place is implied. In India it has three overlapping surfaces: the Google Maps and map-pack results, the standard organic results for location-qualified queries, and increasingly the AI Overviews and AI Mode responses that recommend specific businesses.

Google's inputs are well understood: relevance (does the business match the query), distance (how close it is to the searcher or named place) and prominence (how well known and reviewed it is). Local SEO is the systematic improvement of relevance and prominence, because distance cannot be changed. The local SEO guide covers each in depth.

Who this is for

Clinics, hospitals and diagnostic centres

Dental, dermatology, fertility, physiotherapy and multi-speciality chains where patients search by condition plus locality and decide largely on reviews.

Restaurants, cafes and cloud kitchens

Businesses where Maps is the storefront, photos and menu data drive the click, and the conversion is a call, directions or an order.

Showrooms and dealerships

Car, two-wheeler, furniture, electronics and jewellery showrooms whose customers research online, then visit. Often multi-location across a city or region.

Coaching centres and institutes

Entrance exam coaching, language institutes, skill academies and tuition networks, where the query is "[exam/course] coaching in [locality]" and parents compare several before enquiring.

Multi-location brands and franchises

Twenty, two hundred or two thousand outlets, each needing its own accurate profile and a location page that is genuinely about that outlet, not a template with the city name swapped in.

Problems this solves

Not showing in the map pack for your own locality

Usually a relevance problem: wrong primary category, missing services, an address Google does not trust, or a profile that has been suspended or duplicated without anyone noticing.

Inconsistent name, address and phone everywhere

Old addresses on Justdial, a different phone number on Practo or Zomato, a trading name on the website and a legal name on the profile. Each inconsistency weakens the entity. I audit and fix the record across every listing that matters.

Location pages that are copies of each other

Multi-location sites with a hundred pages that differ only in the city name, which Google treats as one page and ranks for nothing. These need the discipline of programmatic SEO with real per-location data.

Reviews that are few, old or unanswered

Review velocity and responses are visible signals of prominence and are what the customer actually reads. I set up the process that makes reviews arrive steadily and get answered.

Hindi and regional queries ignored

A large share of local searches in India are typed or spoken in Hindi, Hinglish or a regional language. If the profile and the site only speak English, that demand goes to whoever shows up.

How I approach local SEO

My local SEO framework describes the full method. These are the principles that shape every engagement.

The business profile is the product page

For most local businesses the Google Business Profile gets more views than the website. I treat it with the same seriousness as a product page: the right primary and secondary categories, every service and product listed with descriptions, accurate hours including holidays, photos that show the real place, regular posts, and Q&A seeded with the questions customers actually ask. Profile management is ongoing, not a one-time setup.

Location pages that are about the location

Each outlet gets a page with its own address, embedded map, hours, phone, staff or doctors, services offered there specifically, local photos, reviews for that outlet, and directions from the landmarks locals use. For large networks this is built as a system with quality thresholds, so a new outlet gets a real page and an outlet without enough data does not get a thin one. Structured data (LocalBusiness and its subtypes) is implemented per page; my schema markup experiment shows which of it actually changes what appears in results.

NAP consistency as an entity problem

Name, address and phone are how Google ties the website, the profile and third-party listings into one entity. I build a single source of truth, audit the Indian platforms that matter for your category (Justdial, Sulekha, Practo for healthcare, Zomato and Swiggy for food) plus general directories, and correct what is wrong. Then I keep it correct when an outlet moves.

Reviews as a process, not a campaign

Asking at the right moment (after the treatment, the delivery, the test drive), making it easy (a QR code, a WhatsApp link), and responding to every review in a way that helps the next reader. Fake or incentivised reviews get profiles suspended and are obvious to customers; I will not run them.

Hindi, Hinglish and regional language demand

I check what people in your market actually type and say. Voice search in Hindi on Android is common, and queries like "mere paas dentist", "sasta furniture showroom" or the Tamil or Marathi equivalent are real demand. Depending on the market this means Hindi or regional content on the site and local-language profile descriptions and posts. It is not about translating the whole site; it is about meeting the queries that exist.

WhatsApp and call as the conversion

In India, the enquiry is far more likely to be a WhatsApp message or a call than a form submission. I make sure the profile has messaging enabled, the website has a WhatsApp click-to-chat and click-to-call on mobile, and that those actions are measured so we know which locality and which page produced the enquiry.

What you get

Local visibility audit

Profile health, category fit, duplicate and suspended listings, citation accuracy, review profile, location-page quality and the local conversion path, per outlet.

Google Business Profile optimisation and management plan

Categories, services, attributes, photos, posts, Q&A and messaging, with a monthly rhythm your team or I can run.

Location page system

Page specifications, data requirements per outlet, structured data, internal linking from city hubs to outlet pages, and quality rules for networks that add or close outlets.

Citation and NAP correction

A single source of truth and corrected listings across the platforms that matter in your category and market.

Review process

Request flows, response guidelines, monitoring and escalation for problem reviews, designed for how your staff actually interact with customers.

Local content and language plan

Locality-specific content, Hindi or regional-language coverage where the demand exists, and the measurement setup for calls, WhatsApp and directions.

How the engagement runs

  1. Audit every outlet

I review each profile, each location page and each major listing, and pull query data per location. For large networks I script this. The output is a scorecard per outlet and a prioritised list of what is wrong.

  2. Fix the entity

Correct and verify profiles, resolve duplicates and suspensions, lock down the NAP source of truth and push corrections to the listings that matter. This step alone often restores map-pack visibility that was lost without anyone understanding why.

  3. Build or rebuild location pages

Specs, data collection from each outlet (photos, staff, services, hours), implementation with your developers or CMS, structured data and the internal linking that connects city and outlet pages.

  4. Start the review and content rhythm

Review requests begin, response guidelines are in use, the first local-language content and profile posts go live.

  5. Measure enquiries, not just rankings

Calls, WhatsApp messages, direction requests and form enquiries tracked by outlet and by source, reported monthly alongside map-pack and organic visibility.

  6. Maintain and extend

New outlets get added to the system; underperforming outlets get diagnosed; seasonal and holiday changes get reflected. Local SEO drifts if it is not maintained, and maintenance is part of the service.

The multi-location local SEO case study documents how Pooja Mehta's local business grew qualified monthly enquiries from 15 to 70+. Additional local engagements include Jitendra Kumar (broadband business scaled from 0 to 50+ leads/mo), Manish Gupta (local services scaled to 55+ enquiries/mo), and Saniiq in Canada (3x organic growth).

15 → 70+Monthly qualified enquiries (Pooja Mehta)
0 → 50+Organic leads/mo from scratch (Jitendra Kumar)
3xTraffic growth in 3 months (Saniiq Canada)

I work with local and multi-location businesses across India. If you are in the National Capital Region, the Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida pages describe the local market context; the Mumbai page does the same for the west. The underlying guide is at Learn SEO: Local SEO.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a website if my Google Business Profile is already doing well?

For a single-location business with a strong profile, the website matters less than people assume, but it still does two things the profile cannot: it gives Google a fuller picture of your services and locality, and it gives customers a place to confirm you are real. For multi-location businesses the website is essential, because each outlet needs its own page to rank for locality queries outside the map pack.

How do I rank in the map pack in a locality where I do not have an address?

Mostly, you do not. The map pack is proximity-driven, and Google has become strict about profiles using addresses where the business does not operate. Service-area businesses can set service areas, and the website's location and content can rank in organic results for nearby localities. Creating profiles at virtual offices or a friend's address gets listings suspended, and I will not do it.

How many location pages can we have before Google sees them as spam?

There is no number. What Google penalises is pages with no real difference between them. A thousand outlet pages with real addresses, staff, photos, hours and reviews are fine. Fifty pages for localities where you have no presence, with the same text each time, are not. The test is whether each page would be useful to someone who landed on it.

Is Hindi or regional-language content really necessary?

It depends on the market and the category. For a premium clinic in South Delhi the queries are mostly English; for a two-wheeler showroom in a tier-two city a large share are Hindi or the local language, often by voice. I check the actual query data rather than assuming, and recommend language coverage only where the demand is there. Hinglish queries in particular are often missed entirely.

How long does local SEO take?

Profile and entity fixes can show in the map pack within a few weeks because Google refreshes profile data frequently. Location-page rankings in organic results take longer, typically a few months, and reviews accumulate on their own timescale. I report monthly and would rather tell you which outlets moved and why than quote one overall timeline.
